The name of comedian Jarwo Kwat is currently a hot topic of discussion on social media.
This is because of allegations of harassment during a scene in one of the comedy programs on YouTube, namely Operation Target with celebgram Catheez alias Catherine Alicia.
In one scene, Jarwo Kwat is seen hugging Catheez.
When that happened, Catheez's expression looked uncomfortable with the tight hug.
Even so, many netizens regretted this scene, because they considered it disrespectful of privacy and boundaries between players.
Even though Jarwo Kwat only followed the scenario, he had no other intention. Due to this incident, Jarwo Kwat felt that the creative world in the context of comedy would become dull if it was criticized a little bit.
"Yes, if comedians continue like this (creatively blunt) like that, please understand, we will entertain. What's more, if it's not entertaining, we're comedians," said Jarwo Kwat when contacted, Sunday (7/1/2024).
It wasn't just Jarwo Kwat and Chateez who felt confused about this incident. His family felt the same way.
Because in all his years of comedy, this 56 year old man has only ever felt something like this.
"So it's nothing too big, no, I'm confused, my family is also confused about why things are like this," explained Jarwo Kwat.
Luckily, his wife believed and continued to provide full support for Jarwo Kwat, without being provoked by netizen criticism.
"My wife understands the world of comedy, they understand their father's work, so it's according to the story, what are they doing when they're old," stressed Jarwo Kwat.
"From netizen friends, these are the only words that make you sad," said Jarwo.
Jarwo has even closed his social media comments column to explain the insults.
"Just wait for it to subside, for example, if someone is offended, I apologize. That's all," he said.
This problem was also known to Catheez, where the streamer felt confused.
